Learn to Think Like a Captain.

Captain
Avinash Chikte
A successful pilot is always well prepared.
Are you?
If you are considering a career in aviation, your first step matters.
I have spent 45 years in aviation as a fighter pilot, airline captain, and instructor.
Most pilots do not struggle because of ability —
they struggle because they do not understand the path ahead.
To help you begin correctly, I have created the FuturePilots Induction Kit.
It is available free inside the FuturePilots community.
WHO THIS IS FOR?
Whether you're a student or a trained pilot, understanding the aviation path early can save years of confusion and costly mistakes.

Students & Parents
For those considering aviation as a career, as well as their parents to get a clear understanding of the study and career path, along with the commitment required to succeed as a pilot.
Before committing years of training and significant financial investment, it is important to understand:
• Whether aviation is the right career for you
• Medical and academic requirements
• How to select the right ground training school
• How to choose a reputable flying training organisation
• How to plan your journey from student to CPL

CPL Holders
For pilots who have completed their CPL and are preparing for airline selection.
Many CPL holders wait months or even years for an opportunity. But, as you know, the opportunities are limited and infrequent. So you must prepare well for the selection process:
• Professional CV and airline applications
• Interview readiness
• Operational thinking
• Simulator preparation
• Clear communication and decision-making
Pilots' Testimonials

As a pilot or as a mentor, Capt. Avinash Chikte consistently demonstrates not only technical expertise and precision but also calm decision-making, discipline, and a deep respect for safety—qualities that define the very best in the field.
Beyond his skills in the cockpit, what sets him apart is his passion for mentoring and guiding others. He has always taken out the time to support aspiring pilots, sharing knowledge with patience, clarity and genuine enthusiasm.
The launch of this pilot training academy is a natural extension of his character and experience. I have no doubt that under his leadership, the academy will foster highly skilled, confident, and responsible pilots who are well-prepared for the demands of aviation.
I wholeheartedly support this venture and strongly believe it will make a meaningful contribution to the aviation community. Any student who trains under Capt. Avinash Chikte will not only gain technical proficiency but also the values and mindset required to succeed in this profession.

I still think back to my command training in 2019, and what stands out the most is how he chose to teach us. While most training is confined to classrooms, he took me and my Simulator partner Divyanshu out for walks in the parks in Singapore, where we practiced memory items, flows, and callouts. It didn’t feel like conventional training, but that’s exactly why it stayed with me. Even today, those sessions are hard to forget.
What truly set his training apart was how he prepared us for the mindset shift from First Officer to Captain. Making us switch seats and think from both perspectives completely changed the way I understood command. It wasn’t just about procedures—it was about thinking and responding like a Captain.
His patience and the vast experience he brought with him—from flying fighters to commercial aviation—reflected in the way he mentored us. He created an environment where learning felt natural, and confidence came with it. I was able to clear all my route checks in the first attempt, and I genuinely credit that strong foundation to his guidance.
His influence goes beyond that phase of training—it continues to reflect in the way I approach flying even today.
It’s truly great to see him now guiding the next generation through FuturePilots Academy. They couldn’t be in better hands.
Thank you for everything.

He always emphasizes that small details matter, and I experienced firsthand how those very details were noticed and appreciated by the interviewers.
I would highly recommend joining FuturePilots Academy to anyone aspiring to succeed in aviation interviews.

Over the years, he has stood as a mentor to many pilots, myself included. During my training days, as an Airline Pilot, Capt Chikte has always helped me with patience and clarity — simplifying complex procedures and making the Boeing 737 a fun aircraft to fly!
I look up to him not only as an exceptional aviator, but as a person of rare kindness.
I must say, the future Pilots would be very lucky to have a mentor like Capt Chikte to help them discover their wings and soar high.

I had the privilege of flying with Sir back in 2016 during my early First Officer days, but I truly understood the depth of his mastery when he came to train us for our Command Upgrade in 2023.
We were all excited for our upgrade simulator sessions, so naturally we reached the center two hours early. But when we got there, Sir was already standing outside — before all of us — negotiating for an extra 15 minutes for the day’s session. That moment said everything about him.
That is what makes Chikte Sir special.
If you are willing to give 99% to learn, he will add another 100% from his side. He doesn’t just train you to fly aircraft — he trains you for life.
His methods, techniques, shortcuts, discipline, and attitude make even the toughest training feel smooth and enjoyable. Yes, he may push harder than most, but only because he wants to make you the king of your field.
During our rigorous Command Training, Sir became everything we needed:
Father during the pre-sim briefing
Instructor inside the simulator
Mother during the post-sim debrief
Friend back at the hotel
Legends don’t just teach procedures — they shape people. Chikte Sir is one of them.

I’ve personally learnt a great deal from him, not just in terms of flying skills, but also in decision-making and mindset as a captain.
His dedication to teaching and his genuine passion for shaping better pilots is truly inspiring and commendable.
I’m grateful for the time and effort he dedicated to my training, and I can confidently say that any pilot learning under him will benefit immensely from his experience and dedication.

He had a unique way of correcting mistakes and turning them into valuable learning moments. His teaching style was practical, patient, and always aimed at building confidence and competence in the cockpit.
I clearly remember one particular flight where I was asking him a lot of questions throughout the journey. After a while, he smiled and remarked that it felt like I was taking his interview. That moment reflects not only his sense of humor but also how approachable and open he was to sharing his knowledge.
Beyond flying, he also played a significant role in helping me prepare for international airline interview. He guided me in developing essential soft skills, which greatly helped me succeed in getting through the process.
We flew together quite often, and I carry very fond memories of those flights. His mentorship has left a lasting impression on me both professionally and personally.
I wish him all the very best for his new venture, Future Pilot Academy. I am confident that many aspiring pilots will greatly benefit from his experience, guidance, and dedication.

I had the privilege of meeting him nearly ten years ago, at a stage when I was still finding my footing on the Boeing 737. Like many young pilots, I had the knowledge, but confidence was something I was still building. And somehow, he saw in me a potential that I hadn’t yet discovered in myself.
With patience, calm guidance, and an unwavering belief in me, he helped shape not just my flying skills, but my mindset. He taught me that being a pilot is not just about operating an aircraft—it’s about carrying responsibility with dignity, wearing the uniform with pride, and always striving to give your very best.
But what makes him truly special goes beyond aviation. He is an exceptional writer—a thoughtful blogger and a gifted novelist—someone who can turn experiences into words that inspire and stay with you. Even after retirement, his passion for aviation and for people continues. He remains a mentor to young pilots, guiding them with the same warmth and wisdom that I was fortunate to receive.
They say some people teach you how to fly… but a rare few teach you how to believe in yourself.
Captain Avinash Chikte is one of those rare few.
And for that, I will always be grateful.

He consistently created a positive learning environment, encouraged sound decision-making, and emphasized both safety and leadership qualities essential for command responsibilities. His constructive feedback and patience mentoring played a significant role in enhancing my operational understanding and command mindset.
It was truly a privilege to undergo training under his supervision and I am grateful for the valuable experience and support throughout the upgrade process.
